Thanks to the Lord!

For about three and a half years I have been involved in street ministry.  I have been privileged to see many saved!    I have repeatedly seen God transform lives before my eyes.   Many times the love and power of the Holy Spirit has shown up and changed the atmosphere.   I am so thankful to the Lord for all who have mentored me, prayed for us, went with us and supported us in any way.   I write this with tears in my eyes.  I tell you one of the greatest joys in my life is to be there when He is ministering to his precious souls.  God help me to show his love to the lost, the least, the broken and undone!

A CALL TO STREET MINISTRY!

WORSHIP PRAISE PRAYER AND STREET MINISTRY!

We are issuing a call to the Body of Christ to join us in furthering kingdom work in the area of 38th and Illinois.

We invite churches, worship leaders, worship teams, prayers and those who want to go to the streets to show love to the last , the least , the lost in the area of 38th and Illinois, to join us in serving the Lord as the Body of Christ.

This is an area that is in desperate need of the love of Jesus. We invite the whole Body of Christ! You are needed in the Lord’s army for His kingdom work!

Together let’s lift us the name of Jesus in worship, prayer and street ministry. Let’s see what the Lord will do!

Our vision is to have street ministry in all sectors of the city. Currently, there is street ministry in the downtown area, the 10th and Rural area and the 38th and Illinois area. We make this call for the expansion of the 38th and Illinois kingdom work to have a much broader impact on this area.  August 28th, 2010 is the current kickoff date for this ministry expansion.  Details are to be communicated when they are revealed.

38th and Illinois Street Ministy

Recently, street ministry has begun in the area of 38th Street and Illinois Street. This is an area in desperate need of the love of Jesus. We have been blessed to be present when a young man received Christ, a woman rededicated her life to Christ and others were touched by the love of the Holy Spirit. It is a privilege to witness the gift of the working of the Holy Spirit in the lives of precious souls.

The Love Flowed and Flowed

During 10th Street Ministry yesterday, a man decided to recommit his life to the Lord Jesus Christ.   As  conversation with him continued,  the love , the power,  the presence of the Holy Spirit became more and more noticeable.   The love of the Holy Spirit  flowed and flowed until this precious man was noticeably moved.  Another life touched by the divine love of the Holy Spirit!

Fountain Square Mother Receives Christ

In preparation for an FHL  Mobile Food Pantry, which was held in the Fountain Square area, a group of believers met in front of a church to pray. Flyers about the pantry were passed out in the neighborhood where the pantry was held. Also, a brother and sister in the Lord walked along Prospect Street in Fountain Square and talked to people about the Lord. Then the brother was led to enter a grocery/variety store on Prospect Street. When the brother and sister in the Lord entered the store, they met a young mother taking care of her baby. This precious mother was ready to receive Christ. As the sister held the baby, the young mother received Christ as Savior!

10th Street Barbershop Ministry

During street ministry on most Saturdays,  we usually go into a barbershop near 10th and Rural.  The barbers at the barbershop give us freedom to pass out tracts, bibles and flowers.    While a visiting the barbershop on a recent Saturday, which was crowded with people, a sister in the Lord was giving away a flower and a brother in the Lord was passing out tracts.   As  the brother began sharing with  a man  in the barbershop about how he had lived at bad addresses (sinful lifestyle) but (with the help of the Lord) does not live at those addresses anymore,  the Holy Spirit rose up in the brother.  With the Spirit of love,  he shared with all in the barbershop how Jesus loves them and  is coming back soon for all who receive him.

10th Street Transformation #2

Two brothers in the Lord were walking along 10th Street in Indianapolis.   They were walking in the area to witness to people.  These brothers  met another brother in the Lord who was doing the same thing.   After the three brothers in the Lord had talked for a while, a lady came to where they were at.   As a conversation with her continued, the Holy Spirit,  the Spirit of love,  manifested more and more.  The power of the Spirit of love led one brother to go to his knees weeping, while another brother led the lady in a prayer to receive Christ!

10th Street Transformation

This is a story of transformation I was privileged to witness in the 10th and Rural area in Indianapolis.  A soul winning  sister in Christ met a very downtrodden lady and brought her into a church where 10th Street Ministry was  meeting in.   After ministering to her, the young lady began to be transformed by the love and power of the Holy Spirit.  I could see the hurt expression on her face fading as love melted her heart.  She received Christ as Savior!
